PRESENT PERFECT

WELCOME!!!

Bienvenidos al blog del "Present Perfect"


En este espacio tendrás la oportunidad de practicar y reforzar este tema que para muchos es algo difícil.
Es muy sencillo solo realiza el mini curso “Present Perfect” y al final comprobaras que no era tan difícil como creías.




Actividades


I. PRESENT PERFECT FORM

We use the Present Perfect for:

  • Actions which happened in the past when the exact time is NOT mentioned.
    E.g. I have chosen my wedding dress. (When? We don’t know)


  • Actions which have finished recently.
    E.g. I have just finished.

The time expressions used with that tense are:


  • Since
  • For
  • Ever
  • Never
  • Yet
  • Already
  • Just
  • So far

Examples:
She has been here since yesterday.
I have been studying since last month.
He has worked for 3 years.
Would you like a hamburger? No, thanks I’ve just had lunch.
I have already sent the invitations.
Have you ever tried Oriental food? No, I have never tried.
Mike hasn´t chosen the place for the party yet.
I have listened two songs so far.

III. VERBS


Si bien cabe recalcar que para poder entender y tener una mejor práctica acerca del "Present Perfect" tenemos que aprendernos los verbos, es mejor aprenderselos en sus tres formas:


Infinitive Form, Past and Past Participle.


Tip:


Es mejor aprenderse los verbos irregulares, ya que los regulares no se encontrarán en la siguiente lista y quiere decir que si no están es por que terminan en -d o -ed.


Por ejemplo: Work - worked - worked

Decide - decided - decided

Lee el siguiente reading y contesta las preguntas.

En este video hay 3 entrevistas, aparecerá la palabra "Present Perfect" en la pantalla cuando el "Presente Perfecto" se esté utilizado. Identifica las frases en dónde se utiliza este tiempo.


VI. INDIVIDUAL WORK

Escribe un mail a algún amigo dandole información acerca de tu fiesta de cumpleaños, siguiendo la estructura.

Write a mail to a friend giving information about your birthday party following the writing tip.


Writing Tip


When we write a letter to a friend telling him/her about our preparations for an event (such as party, wedding, celebration, etc.), we divide it into four paragraphs.




Paragraph 1: We begin by stating why we are writing the letter.

Paragraph 2: We write about the preparartions we have already made.


Paragraph 3: We mention the preparations we haven´t made yet.

Paragraph 4: We end our letter by reminding our friend about the date of the event. We include a closing remark. E.g. That's all for now. I hope you can be there.

We use the Present Perfect to talk about the preparations we have/haven´t made.

VII. COLLABORATIVE WORK


Realiza en equipos de no mas de 4 personas una Presentación en Power Point acerca del "Present Perfect". Incluye ejemplos, actividades, lecturas, juegos ect. Se creativo!


Make a presentation about Present Perfect in teams with no more than 4 members. Include examples, activities, games, readings, etc. Be creative!
